HALO JEMBER - Pancer Puger Beach, known for its beach view and traditional fishing activities, is one of the beautiful natural destinations in Jember. As a region, Jember is a town in East Java, Indonesia, well known for its fantastic event, the Jember Fashion Carnaval.

But Jember is not only about festivals. It also has beautiful natural destinations, especially its beaches.

Pancer Puger Beach is located in Puger Kulon Village, Puger District. It has a calm and peaceful atmosphere with beautiful views, perfect for visitors who want to relax. Even though it’s not as famous as other beaches, Pancer Puger Beach has a unique charm that makes it worth visiting.

Pancer Puger Beach is known for its black sand, which differs from most beaches. It becomes the main attraction of this beach. The black sand comes from volcanic materials. It looks very beautiful next to the dark blue sea. The view is even more amazing during sunset.

The sky turns orange and red, with the light reflecting on the waves and sand. Many people come in the late afternoon to enjoy the sunset or take photos. The beach is wide and not too crowded, so it is a great place to relax while enjoying the sound of the waves.

Pancer Puger Beach now has better facilities for visitors. There is a parking area that can fit cars or even buses. There are also public toilets or facilities for changing clothes.

Visitors can find food stalls that sell snacks, drinks, or even seafood dishes. Some small huts and shaded areas are available for those who want to sit or relax.

Pancer Puger Beach is easy to reach by motorcycle or car. It is about 40–45 kilometres from the centre of Jember. It takes around 1 to 1.5 hours to get there.

The road to the beach is in good condition. Visitors can easily find the way using Google Maps. There is also a large parking area near the beach for cars or buses, making it a good place for family or group trips.

The beach is open every day from 6:00 AM to 6:00 PM. The entrance fee is very cheap, only around Rp. 5,500 per person and Rp. 5.000 for parking fees. This makes it a good place for families or travellers on a budget.

Visitors are asked to keep the beach clean by throwing trash in the bins. Swimming is not recommended because the waves are strong. If visitors want to surf, they must check the wave conditions and have the right equipment.

It is best to visit Pancer Puger Beach during the dry season, from May to September, when the weather is sunny and the sea is suitable for surfing. Bring enough cash because many small shops or food stalls do not accept cards or digital payments. Try to come early in the morning or late in the afternoon to avoid the hot sun and enjoy the most beautiful views.

There are many things to do at Pancer Puger Beach. One popular activity is surfing. The waves here are big and strong, perfect for people who like to surf. Many surfers, including tourists from other countries, come to this beach.

If you don’t surf, you can still enjoy watching them. Not far from the beach, there is also a large fish market. Every day, fishermen bring fresh fish to sell at the auction.

This is a good chance to see how the local people work. You can also eat fresh seafood from small food stalls around the beach. The food is tasty and cheap.

When visiting Pancer Puger Beach, there are some rules and guidelines that visitors need to follow. Always keep the beach clean by throwing trash in the bins provided.

“Before, there were people who made sure visitors didn’t throw trash. But now, no one does that anymore, so visitors need to take care of the beach and keep it clean,” said Mulya, the manager of Pancer Puger Beach.

Swimming is not recommended because the waves can be strong and dangerous, especially for children. If visitors want to surf, make sure to check the wave conditions and bring the right equipment.
